Bit of a new look for thriller this month. Ghosts!

A few years ago my buddy Jai formerly of Below Par Records told me he was going to make a film about punk rock in the 90s. He liked the name Robot Academy so much that he started Robot Academy Films. Fast forward to 2009, the film is done and so is the poster. No word on a release date, but if you listened to punk in the 90s youre going to freak out about how good this is. It includes interviews with Green Day, Blink 182, NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise, basically every band that mattered. Totally awesome.

Heres some stuff thats inspiring robot-academy of late:

A while ago i decided to make a font instead of actually drawing text every time i wanted a hand drawn look – the requirements were that it was quite narrow as im always working in limited spaces and that it was bold as hell. Out of that came the monstrosity that is RobotAcademy Script 00.

May i draw your attention to the new illustration by Ross for Brisbane club SNITCH. Killer.

The floorspace artwork has evolved since the first version. If youre in Sydney on a saturday night, get down and get down.

Here is a SMALL portion of the work i did this week. The good news is that ROBOT-ACADEMY.COM is heading to JAPAN for two weeks. Alright!
